First Official Announcement

Today we are sharing something that has been quietly growing in the background for a while: Searassic – a Minecraft-based open-world action–adventure project set in a large pirate-themed world of ships, islands and dangerous seas.

This is not a minigame hub, not a quick seasonal server and not a one-off experiment. Searassic is being built as a long-term world you can return to for months, with its own systems, regions, stories and progression.

We want Searassic to feel less like “joining a server” and more like stepping into a game that just happens to live inside Minecraft.

What is Searassic?

Searassic is an open-world action–adventure experience built on top of Minecraft. At its core, it is about:

  • navigating the sea with your ship and crew,
  • exploring handcrafted islands and hidden routes,
  • facing threats on both land and water,
  • and growing stronger over time through meaningful progression.

Our goal is to combine the feeling of a classic pirate adventure with systems and structure that can keep players engaged for the long run – not just for a single weekend.

Why are we building this?

Many Minecraft servers are great at quick fun – short matches, lobbies, fast resets. We love that side of Minecraft, but we also miss something slower, deeper and more atmospheric. A place where:

  • you can get lost on purpose,
  • your ship and base feel like long-term projects,
  • risk actually matters when you leave safe waters,
  • and discovery is more important than checklists.

Searassic is our attempt to build that kind of world – using Minecraft as engine and canvas, but with the mindset of designing a full game.

How long will development take?

We are not rushing this. Searassic is planned as a 10–14 month development journey, built in phases:

  • core systems and technical foundations,
  • worldbuilding, islands and early encounters,
  • internal playtests and iteration,
  • and finally, early access for players.

The project will evolve in the open. Not every detail will be public, but we will share progress, direction and key decisions along the way.

What can players expect?

Searassic is built around three core pillars:

  • Exploration: a world that invites you to get lost – with islands, routes and secrets that reward curiosity over efficiency.
  • Danger: both the sea and the land can hurt you. Threats scale with your ambition, not just your stats.
  • Progression: growth that feels earned – ships, bases and characters you care about over many sessions.

How can you follow the journey?

If you are interested in Searassic, now is the very beginning. Systems are still being shaped, the world is still forming and a lot can change based on what works – and what doesn’t.
